The Best American Mystery Stories 2013
THE BEST AMERICAN MYSTERY STORIES 2013 (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt tpb, 2013) is the seventeenth volume of Otto Penzler-edited annual best American mystery story anthology series. As the previous volumes, Michele Slung located and selected worthy "mystery" stories from a sea of magazines and anthologies and netzines, and Penzler read them and settled on the fifty best, and then the guest editor (Lisa Scottoline, this year) choseher best 20 and wrote an Introduction. BAMS2013 contains 20 mystery short stories as follows:
