When I was a little boy
HNR 376
a
When I was a little boy
I lived by myself,
And all the bread and cheese I got
I laid up on a shelf.
b
The rats and the mice
They made such a strife,
I had to go to London town
And get me a wife.
c
The streets were so broad
And the lanes were so narrow,
I was forced to bring my wife home
In a wheel barrow.
d
The wheel barrow broke
And my wife had a fall,
Fare well wheel barrow,
Little wife and all.
