When I was young I used to go
With my daddy's dinner-o,
Baked potatoes, beef and steak;
Twored herrings, and a ha'penny cake;
I came to a river
And I couldn't get across,
I paid two pound
For an old dun horse,
Jumped on its back,
Its bones gave a crack；
I played uponmy fiddle
Till the boat came back.
