MonoConc (for Mac)

1) Once a corpus has been opened (a text file), this will be the first screen that the user sees. Here the corpus is 'Presumed Innocent' by Scott Turow (the Penguin Reader version - Level 6. Published by Addison Wesley Longman).

2) The second screen shot shows the search results for the word 'speak'. There were 19 occurrences of 'speak'. The concordances have been sorted so that the first words immediately to the right of the node appear in alphabetical order.

3) This screen shows the collocates of the word 'speak' in the corpus.

4) The final screen shows a diagram of the collocates in which the words appearing at the top are the more frequent collocates. The strength of collocation is symbolized by the thickness of the line.
