MonoConc (for Mac)
1) Once a corpus has been opened (a
text file), this will be the first screen that the user sees.
Here the corpus is 'Presumed
Innocent' by Scott Turow (the Penguin Reader version - Level
6. Published by Addison Wesley Longman).

2) The second screen shot shows the
search results for the word 'speak'. There were 19 occurrences
of 'speak'. The concordances have been sorted so that the first
words immediately to the right of the node appear in alphabetical
order.

3) This screen shows the collocates
of the word 'speak' in the corpus.

4) The final screen shows a diagram
of the collocates in which the words appearing at the top are
the more frequent collocates. The strength of collocation is
symbolized by the thickness of the line.
