MonoConc Pro screen shot
This screen shot was taken on my Macintosh
using Soft Windows 95. The original screen shot was very large
(1037 x 797), so has been shrunk so as to fit smaller screens.
Consequently, the screen shot will be easier to see if you save
it to your hard disk, and then use your own photo software to
view it.
When started the user of MonoConc pro
is faced with a blank screen. Once various settings such as 'tags'
and 'langauge' have Befobeen set the user then selects a file
or files to search (i.e. the corpus). MonoCon Pro will not produce
concordances of every word in a text, but does allow for the
use of 'wild cards' and 'regular expressions'. Thus, in the example
below, a search of the Guardian newspaper was made using the
following search term, 'sp%%k%%% @ mind'. As with other concordancers
the resulting concordances can be manipulated in various ways.
