UltraFind screen shots
First, a shot of the first dialogue
box that appears on starting UltraFind. As you see it looks more
like a search tool, which in fact is just what it is.
In this dialogue box the user can choose
his or her corpus by clicking on 'Confined Search' and then choosing
a file or folder in which he or she wants UltraFind to search.
Then, the user clicks on Text Search, and enters a word (or words
and phrases) that he or she wants to make concordances of. The
Text Search dialogue box is shown in the next screen shot.
Here, I have entered 'frustrat', deliberately
not completing the word so UltraFind will make a search for all
words starting with 'frustrat', i.e. frustrating, frustrated,
frustratingly, frustrate, and frustrates.
I then clicked on 'OK', and then on
'Scan' in the first dialogue box. Although I had chosen quite
a large corpus (18 MB worth of the Guardian Weekly Newspaper),
within a few seconds I got the following concordances, which
could then be copied into my word processor.
