Braised yama-kurage

It is delicious even if you cook with fried bean curd or dried shiitake.

Directions

  1. Soak yama-kurage into water for 2 hours (expand to 4 or 5 times). Cut into 1 inch, drain off.
  2. Heat sesame oil in frying pan and saute yama-kurage over high heat.
  3. Add 1/2 cup soup stock, 2 tablespoons sake, 1 tablespoon mirin, 1 tablespoon soy sauce. put the lid and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat.
  4. place in a serving dish. Sprinkle with white sesame.
