Simmered mackerel in miso

mackerel is compatible with miso.



  1. Cut ginger into shin slice.
  2. Pour 1 cup sake into pan and boil for a while. Put mackerel and ginger and boil 2-3 minutes until fish is done. Add 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon mirin and 2 tablespoon miso, cover with a drop-lid and simmer for 10 minutes over a medium flame.
